Known for a production style he calls ‘Future Folk,’ Garcia Sullivan’s work is a push against the boundaries of the Indie Folk genre, blending the textural depth of Bon Iver with the raw, distorted energy of his grunge roots.
Following the success of his debut EP Butterflies—which saw him on the cover of Spotify’s ‘Folk Rizing’ and earned him ‘Earworm of the Week’ on BBC Introducing—Garcia Sullivan spent 2025 touring a live show in the UK defined by soaring vocal loops and inventive instrumentation. His 2026 EP, Birds, marks a philosophical evolution. While his previous work focused on waking from a dream, Birds is a gritty, ethereal exploration of the "frustrating stagnation" that comes with figuring out who you are before you’re able to fully step into their shoes.
